I want to welcome you to our blog on the important issues related to Michigan auto accidents. From my personal life and professional work, I know first hand the impact that serious auto accidents can have on an accident victim’s life. Frequently, the injuries impact the car accident victim’s ability to work which causes severe financial hardship. This is, of course, on top of the astronomical medical expenses. For Michigan families already living on the financial edge, an auto accident can push them past the tipping point into bankruptcy and foreclosure.

Far more important than the financial impact is the physical pain and suffering caused by auto accidents. We see catastrophic injuries, including death, from Michigan auto accidents with great frequency. A recent comparison of national traffic safety showed that the rate of fatalities in motor vehicle crashes has fallen from approximately 5 per 1,000,000 miles driven to approximately 1.5 per 1,000,000 miles driven. While this is a dramatic decline, each death (and injury) is an avoidable tragedy.

In Michigan, we work on auto accident law cases and have substantial experience representing our clients and their families through tough times. This blog is another way for us to help share our point of view on Michigan auto accident related issues. We hope you find it thoughtful and helpful.
